Quite simply, this is the event whereby God, through His son, Jesus of Nazareth, forgives the sins of a lost and dying world, thus allowing for eternal life to be achieved. The process itself, however, is not quite so simple and is much more detailed and intricate than the writer's of this guide have any plans at this point or at any point in the future to detail. We will however say that in this complex process the Son is actually the Father and the Father is in fact the Son, though at no point is the Father absent from Heaven while the Son is on earth. The result, of course, is that God sheds His own imperfect blood for the sake of a perishing lot of ungrateful blokes who in fact are the very one's who murdered Him ever so violently on a Roman cross. At any rate, because of this act in history, it is possible for sin to be forgiven and for men, women and children to go to Heaven. There is, however, still some silly debate about animals.
