Contrary to some beliefs, the Bible did not fall out of the sky written by the hand of God complete with gold pages. Contrary to other misinformation that has been promulgated through the years, it did not appear written in the King's English either. It is not an item of worship on its own account, but instead represents the words and teachings of our Creator, as given by His inspiration to human hands. It also is not one book, but a compilation of 66 books, give or take a few, that scholars believe to have been divinely inspired. This divine inspiration has caused much confusion as people are prone to debate whether an infallible work can be created with the help of flawed human hands. The jury, on this case is very much still out, but a great many who follow the teachings of the Bible believe it to be infallible and without contradiction. For those who don't, generally it can be agreed upon that the Bible is at least the rule of faith and practice in Christianity. The Bible was written by multiple authors over the course of many years, and tells the story of man's creation, fall and redemption. It has been dubbed the "greatest story ever told." The book itself is quite a miracle, as though people throughout centuries have attempted to destroy it, minimize it, disprove it or misuse it, the Bible has remained intact and alive. It is structured into two parts, namely the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Old Testament covers all material from the beginning of time to the birth of Christ.
