Suffering

Q: Why would a loving God allow suffering?
A: God loves His people and hates to see them suffering. However, a loving God who truly loves His people and wants what is best for them would be willing to allow what he hates for a short time if doing so would accomplish what he loves in the long-term. God hates suffering. But He will allow it in this lifetime if it will bring us to Him in eternity.

Q: Why am I never happy?
A: There
are two parts to this. One is, built within each of us is a desire for
a world we have yet to see. At heart, we can remember the perfection of
Eden and we long for that kind of satisfaction in life. The second part
is, our desire can only be filled by a relationship with God.
Everything else, whether it is wealth, power, relationships or material
posessions is only a counterfeit. These things will make us happy for a
short time, but only God can truly satisfy us.
